So this light box that you made is pretty amazing! Would you mind sharing what kind of fabric you ended up using? I would like to make something like this to photograph my package from last semester :)
my email is mbostwick1@gmail.com or you could leave a post.. whichever.
The fabric that I used is called Muslin Cotton. I found it at Walmart for about $3.50/yd. I also bought some white fleece and another white fabric I can't remember the name of...When I asked the fabric lady about the Muslin, she said they didn't carry it, but I looked around anyway and found it. Tape the fabric onto your box so that you can easily remove it in case you want to try out different possibilities.
This is the advice my uncle gave me via e-mail when I showed him my photographs....
Andrew,
try using a piece of aluminum foil as a reflector for diffuse light in different ways. (or any such shiny metal).
Some people spraypaint a piece of aluminum gold to have both white and yellow reflectors.
You can buy them both in pro form at a camera shop, but they aren't free.
A guy I work with, who's big into photography, recommended you use 2 lights of lesser intensity. To get more diffuse shadows and highlights that aren't so blown out. Just a recommendation.

SO I constructed my box... my only problem is lighting? You have any suggestions?
